A new & exciting Arts festival to look forward to in Glenties from 1st to 5th of August, celebrating the old Festival of Lughnasa. Glenties as we know has strong ties with Lughnasa & Brian Friel & it’s a natural way to tie in the old pagan Celtic festival to Glenties & with Dancing at Lughnasa in its native Ballybeg (Glenties)

Céilí at the crossroads outside the Market Hall. Music, and dancing related to Lughnasa.

Friday August 2nd -
Displays in the Museum
Dancing at Lughnasa in the Market Hall by Brian Friel. Performed by the Glenties Drama Group. 8PM

Saturday August 3rd-
Displays in the Museum Brian Friel guided tour 11 AM
Drama workshop in Ballybeg House 2 PM Age 7 years upwards (Maximum 15 people) Bookings with Helen in Ballybeg House
