Romantic getaway and gorgeous views.

A beautifully situated house with panoramic views from every room, located at Abbeylands Ballyshannon. This is approximately 1 mile from the town itself and 5 miles from Rossnowlagh beach. Approved by Failte Ireland in the category of Welcome Standard. Also along the Wild atlantic Way.

The house has 4 bedrooms which sleep a maximum of 8 people. Two newly refurbished bathrooms with 2 showers. Towels and bedlinen provided. Cot available on request. Kitchen and utility room with all mod cons, including dishwasher, microwave, freezer, washing machine and clothes dryer. The well equipped Kitchen includes an open fireplace and an adjacent herb garden. Plenty of parking on the grounds. It has a wonderful atmosphere in which to get away from it all. There is nothing to compare with sitting beside the log fire in the kitchen with a glass of wine in hand looking out at the white peaks of both water and mountain.

The terrace at the front is great for summer barbecuing and the private garden is lovely in spring time with apple and pear blossom and in the autumn when the trees are laden with fruit. If you can drag yourself away from the property, you will find yourself in an area that is one of the best kept secrets in Ireland for its beauty and amenities.

Here in south Donegal you are just a few miles from the borders of Counties Leitrim, Fermanagh and Sligo and this property is ideally placed for an exploration of the exciting North-West and Northern Ireland.

ON FOOT- Take in the sight of the Cistercian Abbey of Assaroe here since 1178, en route to the ancient town of Ballyshannon, birth place of William Allingham and more recently Rory Gallagher. Here you can enjoy the leisure centre, the Lakeside Activities centre, or a quiet drink in one of the many pubs. Take the designated walk along the banks of the estuary until you arrive at Creevy pier.

BY CAR, within a few miles you can surf on fabulous Rossnowlagh beach or at Tullen or Bundoran. In Bundoran, you can enjoy Waterworld or horseride on Tullen strand. The area is famed for its fishing and its golf links at Murvagh and Bundoran. There are some seriously good places to eat and you are only twenty minutes from the famed Organic Centre at Rossinver and you are 40 minutes from the Lough Erne Hotel, Golf and Spa Resort.

No pets allowed.

Weekly lettings are from Saturday to Saturday but longer lets are available. Prices are negotiable for a party of 5 or less adults.
