13 beaches in Donegal are currently wheelchair accessible including Bundoran, Rossnowlagh, Murvagh, Fintra, Narin Portnoo, Carrickfinn, Killahoey, Marble Hill, Downings, Portsalon, Rathmullan, Culdaff and Stroove.

Donegal County Council has beach wheelchairs available for use in the following locations. The chairs are free to use, subject to availability:

Rathmullan

Downings

There is a combination of access e.g. car access at Rossnowlagh and Downings or boardwalk, concrete ramp, etc.

To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book in advance. Beach wheelchairs are free of charge however Terms & Conditions apply.

Lifeguards are employed on all Blue Flag Beaches and Rathmullan beach over the bathing season 1st June --15th Sept. See local beach information board for details.
