Tourism businesses from across Donegal will be flying the flag for the county this weekend as the annual Holiday World Show takes place in Belfast, with the Dublin show following in two weeks’ time.
The annual show, taking place at Belfast’s Waterfront International Convention Centre is expected to attract up to 10,000 visitors across the weekend from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th of January and will be an important stage for Donegal Tourism to promote holidays to the county.
Among those businesses exhibiting as part of the Go Visit Donegal stand in Belfast are Fanad Head Lighthouse, Glencolmcille Folk Village, Arnold’s Hotel, The Abbey Hotel, Tatter Jacks Tours, and Wild Atlantic Camp among others.
In Dublin, from January 23rd to 26th, visitors can meet representatives from Oideas Gael, Donegal Airport, Harvey’s Point, Dillon’s Hotel, the Sliabh Liag Cliffs Experience and more.

Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, Cllr. Paul Canning is delighted that Donegal will be attending both Holiday World Shows saying “the shows provide the perfect opportunity to attract more visitors from both Northern Ireland, Dublin and the surrounding counties to Donegal. With direct flights from Dublin to Donegal Airport, it has never been easier to visit Donegal”.
Visitors to the Donegal stand at both shows will also be able to pick up a copy of the brand new 2026 Go Visit Donegal brochure – this new 48-page brochure is packed full of ideas on what to do and see as well as where to visit in the county. The brochure is also available as a download from the
Go Visit Donegal website.

The cover of the new Go Visit Donegal brochure features Magheroarty Beach.
Tourism Manager at Donegal County Council Joy Browne is encouraging those who have Donegal on their bucket list to visit the stand. She said “this is a great opportunity to find out more about Donegal from the people who live and work there, and all under one roof. Our tourism businesses are looking forward to meeting potential visitors to let them know all about the county and the team from Go Visit Donegal will also be on hand to offer extra advice and information. We’re excited to exhibit at both shows and we’re looking forward to some busy weekends.”
A fabulous competition with prizes supplied by Donegal Airport, The Waterfront Hotel, Oideas Gael, The Harbour Inn, Fanad Lighthouse, Arnold’s Hotel and the Station House Hotel will be running across the two weekends offering plenty of chances for a trip to Donegal.
