Letterkenny Tourism, held the official launch of the new Go Visit Letterkenny website on Thursday (28th May 2026) at the Arena7 Entertainment Complex on the Ramelton Road in the town.

The website was set up by local businesspeople from Letterkenny, with Chairman Brian Gallagher of the Station House Hotel at the helm. The new website, www.govisitletterkenny.ie, has been designed to showcase everything the town has to offer, including attractions, dining, shopping, events and activities for visitors and locals alike. It also aims to be a platform to talk about all that is positive about Letterkenny and its people.

Speaking at the launch, Karoline Sweeney, President of Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce, Joy Browne of Donegal Tourism and Joan Crawford of Fáilte Ireland all offered their congratulations and pledged their continued support for the initiative.

Ciarán Brogan, Chairman of the Letterkenny and Milford Municipal District, urged every local business, hospitality provider and community organisation to get behind the project, stressing that its success depends on buy-in from the local business community. He encouraged everyone to get involved and help spread the message that Letterkenny is a wonderful place to visit, enjoy, stay and use as a base to explore the rest of Donegal.

Letterkenny tourism wants to highlight that the town is not just a destination on its own but is also just a short drive from some of Ireland's most iconic attractions, including Glenveagh Castle, Fanad Lighthouse and Slieve Liag, making it an ideal base for adventure, discovery and relaxation.

Local businesses not yet featured are encouraged to get involved as this is a great platform for them and their business. For more information on how to get involved, visit www.govisitletterkenny.ie. or email govisitletterkenny@gmail.com
