10 - 28 July 2019, Countywide
Earagail Arts Festival is a bilingual (Irish and English language), multidisciplinary arts festival which takes place each July throughout County Donegal – two weeks of music, theatre, visual arts, film, literature, circus & carnival on Ireland’s North West Atlantic seaboard.
In 2013 Earagail Arts Festival celebrated its Silver anniversary and 25 years of festival fun. As a festival programming in some of the most rural landscapes of Ireland, we enjoy an annual event that celebrates the true creative spirit of our beautiful county.
Full programme of 2019 events is now available on the festival website.
The Earagail Arts Festival is a venue-based music and arts festival with eclectic and alternative music, visual arts, circus and theatre programmes alongside the spoken word, film, family and children centred events and workshops. We aim to bring inspiring performers to this captivating European frontier, showcase artists native to the area and provide opportunities for cultural exchange.
We host events in venues from purpose built theatres and galleries, to village halls, forests and beaches, creating a unique cultural experience in the most unlikely of magical places.
Through inviting the best of international and local artists to our festival, we have produced a rich vein of collaborations and partnerships throughout the years, including Toumani Diabate and Liam O’ Maonlai, Donal Lunny and Cor Thaobh a Leithid, The Henry Girls with The Fox Hunt, Victor Gama and An Cosan Glas, Inishowen Gospel Choir and Moya Brennan, to name but a few.
Our diverse programme reaches out across the county, so wherever you are staying, from Culdaff to Rathmullan, Dunfanaghy to Carrickfinn, you will be able to enjoy a feast of entertainment located in the heart of one of Ireland’s most outstanding areas of natural beauty and our own secret hidden gem.
