Take on the Wild Atlantic Way in Donegal, a 500km virtual challenge that can be done from anywhere in the world. A health / fitness challenge open to walkers, joggers or runners.
Over the months of June, July & August challenge yourself to complete 500km, an average of 5.2km a day. Get fit and healthy this summer and use the event to raise funds for a local cause or charity of your choice.
Participants will receive a premium technical T-shirt, Buff, and finishers medal.
You will also be included for a weekly draw for great prizes, and prizes for those that complete the challenge.
A donation to local charities will be made from the event.

Entry Fee €50
Entry includes: A Virtual race number, a premium technical fitted T-shirt (ladies cut / sizes available), an amazing Medal, a Buff, a race bib so you can keep as a souvenir for 2020.
Also included is weekly draws for spot prizes, including Hotel stays in Donegal, fitness gear, Race entries and many more. Once Registered you are automatically included in the weekly draws.
A donation from the event will be made to local charities in Donegal (details to follow).
The event is 500km / 310 miles starting in Muff in Inishowen and ending in Bundoran in South Donegal. The route will follow the Wild Atlantic Way route, bringing you the most spectacular scenery anywhere in the World.
You can WALK, JOG OR RUN.
We have broken the route into 11 stages to make it easier for you, and this will guide you to roughly where you are on the map. Distances have been rounded on the official route.
1. Muff - Kinnagoe Bay. 40k
2. Kinnagoe - Malin Head. 40k
3. Malin Head - Ballyliffin. 40k
4. Ballyliffin - Letterkenny. 60k
5. Letterkenny - Fanad Head. 45k
6. Fanad Head - Dunfanaghy. 50k
7. Dunfanaghy - Annagry. 50k
8. Annagry - Ardara. 55k
9. Ardara - Killybegs. 60k
10. Killybegs - Donegal Town. 30k
11. Donegal Town - Bundoran. 30k
RECORDING YOUR DISTANCES.
This is primarily a fun event to get people active, fit and healthy over the summer months. The Challenge is to complete 500k over 3 months, Starting June 1.
Entries will remain open until July 1.
We will set up a Strava Group for the event. You can record your daily activities on an App like Strava on your phone, or through your Garmin watch. Garmin connect can be connected to the Strava account, and automatically upload your activities to the Strava group. From this we will create a Leaderboard for those that want to do the event as a competitive challenge.
If you do your run on a treadmill, this will be able to be manually inputted onto Strava.
Excel sports will also be showcasing Donegal giving you a Virtual tour through photography and videos, and giving Donegal businesses a platform to promote themselves in these trying times.
