The road now features a wider carriageway and dedicated paths for cyclists and pedestrians, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable travel experience. Starting at Little Bridge, south of Dungloe, the route passes through Leitirmacaward and Glenties, and ends at the R262 junction at Kilraine, south of Glenties.
