Spring Campaign 2024 Competition Rules

Entrant must provide the correct code word in a DM to Donegal Tourism and at least one other tagged person AND the hashtag #LetsGoVisitDonegal in the comment section of the competition launch post published Thursday 22nd February 2024 will be accepted. DMs without the correct code word, emails, or messages elsewhere will not be accepted.
Only comments with at least one other tagged person AND the hashtag on the competition launch post published Thursday 22nd February 2024 will be accepted. Comments left on other Instagram posts or posts on any other social media channel will not be eligible.
You may comment as many times as you like to increase your chances of winning.
ONE winner will be selected at random on Monday 18th March via a random comment picker selected using Wask. If the first comment selected does not match a user who has also sent Go Visit Donegal a direct message on Instagram with the email signup code word, a new comment will be randomly selected. This process will be repeated until the first user with all of the above criteria is randomly chosen, and they will be the final winner.

Entries close Sunday 17th March 2024. Entries received after 23:59 on this date will not be accepted.

Notifying the winner

A randomly selected entrant will win the prize once the competition has closed and the draw has taken place.

We will announce the winner on Monday 18th March in an Instagram post tagging the winner. We will also send a direct Instagram message, so keep your eyes peeled and be sure your Instagram account is taggable!

Prize details:

Winner will receive return flights for two persons from Dublin to Donegal courtesy of Donegal Airport, complemented by a five-day car rental to explore Donegal’s scenic beauty at your own pace.

Lough Eske Castle: Winner will enjoy a luxurious two-night stay for two persons at this award-winning destination resort and spa. With five stars and a more than a few centuries of history, it’s the perfect place to soak up the famous Donegal hospitality. Breakfast, one dinner for two with a relaxing spa experience are included.

Rathmullan House: Drink in the views of serene Lough Swilly with another delightful two-night stay for two persons, this time at this gorgeous four-star country house hotel, with breakfast and one dinner for two included.

And for that adventurous touch, the winner will receive an online voucher for a kayaking experience for two persons with Eco Atlantic Adventures in Portsalon, just a stone’s throw from Rathmullan House.

All prizes are valid until December 2024.

Giveaway Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, "The Promoter" refers to Go Visit Donegal whose Instagram handle is @govisitdonegal_. The "Prize" refers to up to two persons which includes: return flights from Dublin to Donegal with five days’ car rental from Donegal Airport, two nights accommodation at Lough Eske Castle, with breakfast included, plus one dinner at Cedar's Restaurant and one 30 minute spa experience for two at the Lough Eske Castle Spa also included two nights accommodation at Rathmullan House Hotel, with breakfast on both mornings and one dinner in The Cook & Gardener Restaurant included; one online voucher for a kayaking experience with Eco Atlantic Adventures in Portsalon

By entering the competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All entries must be received by 23:59 on 17/3/24. One (1) winner in the Republic of Ireland will be selected at random by The Promoter on 18/3/24 and the winner will be notified on or after this date.
The Promoters competition with entry via Instagram is open only to residents of the Republic of Ireland. One (1) winner will be chosen at random from all entrants on Instagram.
No purchase necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the competition.
Entrants must be over 18 years old on the date of their entry.
Employees of The Promoter are not eligible to enter.
Instagram or Facebook (Meta) are not in any way affiliated or involved in the competition.
Multiple entries per person in the form of Instagram comments on the competition launch post published on https://www.instagram.com/govisitdonegal_/ on Thursday 22nd February 2024, including an additional user account tag AND the hashtag #LetsGoVisitDonegal will be accepted. Only ONE entry per person in the form of a direct message (DM) to the Go Visit Donegal Instagram account will be accepted.
Each entrant shall enter the competition via Instagram by tagging another Instagram user and including the hashtag #LetsGoVisitDonegal in the comments of the specified post by @govisitdonegal_ and contacting @govisitdonegal_ via direct message (DM) with the secret competition code word included in the email newsletter welcome email.
The Prize will be awarded to a randomly selected winner who has entered on Instagram AND registered for the newsletter via email, using Wask or a similar random comment picker. The Promoter will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.
The Promoter will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter’s liability under or in connection with the competition or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the cost price of the Prize in question.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.
The name, address, email address and phone number of the winner must be provided to The Promoter if requested and may be shared to enable fulfilment of the Prize.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond The Promoter’s reasonable control, the promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
The Promoter's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
The winner’s name and social media username may be posted on the social media profiles of The Promoter after the winner has been selected.
By participating in the competition, including sending the email code word to Go Visit Donegal via Instagram direct message and/or commenting on the competition launch post published Thursday 22nd February 2024, you hereby accept and agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions as detailed herein.
