Hand printed linocuts of birds and animals native to Ireland and Britain. A linocut is a relief print, like a woodcut. The image is carved out of a lino block and what remains will print when the inked roller is passed over the top of the block. An exhibition of works inspired by travels in southern Africa but mainly based on his experiences with the Transkei and the Xhosa people. Most of the works on show are large format chalk pastel drawings produced over a period of 4/5 years and a slideshow of selected photographs. In addition is a collection of block prints and cyanotypes relating to his more recent travels in north Africa.
