Bundoran Beach is located approximately 250m north of Bundoran town’s main street. It is a sandy beach facing Donegal Bay and the Atlantic bounded on the North and South by rocks and on the east by the promenade roadway. It is popular destination with surfers. The beach is lifeguard patrolled throughout the bathing season. Lifeguard duty times can be found displayed on the information board on Bundoran beach. Bundoran is locatedoff the N15 in Southern Donegal.
Lifeguards are on duty from 1st June until the end of August and also for the first two weekends in September from 11:00am until 7:00pm.
The lifeguard station is kitted out with a first aid kit and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) unit available during the working hours outlined above.

Flags: Red/Yellow Flag - It is safe to swim and lifeguards are on duty. Swim between the flags.
Red Flag - High Hazard. It is dangerous to enter the water. Lifeguards are on duty.
No Flag - No Lifeguards on duty.
General Advice
All beach users are asked to take care when at the beach, and in particular:
• Never swim alone - Or surf, dive or sail unless there is someone with you.
• Always engage in water activities with family or friends.
• Tell someone when you will be back.
• Note Locations of Life Saving Equipment - Before entering the water familiarize yourself with the location of lifebuoys.
