For an annual fee of €20 tourism interests in the county can become a Member of Donegal Tourism which comes with a number of benefits including:
-
Subsidised attendance at trade shows and other events
-
Peer Sharing, Networking & Support- meet with peers from diverse industries to discuss and learn about your most pressing issues
-
Influence Donegal County Council meeting agendas to support your needs
-
Share your successes through case studies and speaking engagements
-
Shape marketing activities for the Go Visit Donegal brand
-
Networking and support to exchange ideas and best practices with Donegal Tourism businesses
Every two years, members of Donegal Tourism may then also be elected to the Donegal Tourism Associate Members Committee where they represent their individual sectors (Hotels, B&B, Gaeltacht, Golf, Adventure Tourism, etc.) and where they have an opportunity to voice any concerns or developments related to those sectors. The committee is an opportunity for local tourism organisation, businesses, the education sector and commercial, community and cultural representatives, to come together to discuss their experiences in the tourism sector, and to share knowledge.
Donegal Tourism CLG also has a board of 15 directors which includes representatives from various sectors. This ensures that there is input from a wide and varied cross section of tourism industry partners within the county. The board influences and approves planned activities carried out by the Donegal Tourism team. Every two years, three representatives from the Associate Members Committee will also have an opportunity to be elected to the board of Directors.
If you are a member of the tourism sector (accommodation, restaurant/cafe, activities, community, attraction, etc) in Donegal and would like more information on the supports available from Donegal Tourism, including the activities/initiatives above and how you can become involved in our marketing activities, visit our Trade Resources page or contact us directly at info@govisitdonegal.com
