Local Ferry Services in Donegal

Ferry services link the county to the Gaeltacht communities of Tory Island and Árainn Mhór off the west coast. There are also seasonal ferry services on Lough Foyle, linking Magilligan in County Derry to Greencastle in County Donegal. On Lough Swilly, you can take a ferry from Buncrana to Rathmullan.

Greencastle Port to Magilligan Port

Sailings in 2022 commenced on Friday, 27th May until 18th September. There are no set times during the day for sailing. This service starts at 9am and the ferry sails constantly between Greencastle and Magilligan until 8.15pm. Last sail is always 8pm from Greencastle and 8.15pm from Magilligan. One crossing takes around 14 minutes with 3 crossings per hour on average. You can purchase your tickets online.
