What began in 2018 to celebrate the Irish Open at Ballyliffin has blossomed into one of Donegal’s most anticipated annual festivals. Organized by the Carndonagh Traders Association, this three-day extravaganza transforms The Diamond into a vibrant hub of music, culture, and community spirit.

The town comes alive during the day with a variety of unique events that showcase the character of Carndonagh:
The Soapbox Derby: Cheer on the brave drivers as they navigate homemade karts through the streets in a thrilling test of engineering and nerve.
The Malin Street Ball Drop: Watch the spectacle of 1,500 numbered balls racing down Malin Street for a chance to win fantastic prizes.
Community Spirit: Enjoy the Battle of the Bars Tug of War, Outdoor Bingo, and interactive children’s activities.
Dance & Performance: The marquee serves as a stage for incredible local talent, featuring everything from traditional Irish dancing to high-energy hip-hop and line dancing.
