We are delighted to host 'Vital Voices: An Evening of Intercultural Expression Through Word, Story & Song' at Buncrana Cinema on Tuesday, 21st October 2025.

Vital Voices is a partnership between Donegal County Council Arts Office, @ChangeMakers Donegal at the Inishowen Development Partnership, and Creative Ireland/Éire Ildánach.

An inspiring gathering of poets, musicians, playwrights, and storytellers from across Ireland and beyond — artists who are shaping culture and conversation through their work.

Featuring performances and contributions from Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin, Aziz and Dr Asad Abushark, Denise Blake, Keith Corcoran, and Anne Omodara.

Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin – A Dubliner brought up speaking Irish, he’s a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose melodies are deeply rooted in the sean-nós tradition.

Aziz Abushark is a Palestinian/Irish musician whose work blends traditional Palestinian influences with contemporary sounds, creating music that resonates with both heritage and modern styles.

Dr Asad Abushark is a Palestinian academic, writer, poet and human rights advocate. A professor of Translation and Linguistics at Gaza University and spokesperson for the University Teachers’ Association in Palestine.

Denise Blake is a poet, writer, and creative writing facilitator, with two poetry collections published by Summer Palace Press (Take a Deep Breath and How to Spin Without Getting Dizzy).
