Woodquarter Forest Trail: - Walking Trail and picnic site. This trail is along the western shore of Mulroy Bay. It is over undulating ground which rises steeply at the furthest section of the trail and offers panoramic views of the bay along the way.

This site is in a part of Donegal which includes some of the most scenic areas of the county. It is on the western shore of Mulroy bay which is particularly picturesque. Mulroy bay is a long and narrow inlet and is a leading centre for aquaculture. Historically, this area is infamous as the site of the murder of the local landlord, Lord Leitrim in April 1878. The forest was originally planted in 1959, trees which can be seen include oak , alder, holly and birch as well as western hemlock. Islands which can be seen from the trail are Gull Island and Inishyweel. Gull Island is a noted breeding ground for herring gulls.
