The weekends are filled with fun, great food, indulging treats and designed for beginners to the outdoors to advanced enthusiasts looking for new walking trails and adventure.

Bookings per weekend are reserved for small private groups of 6 persons staying at Donegal's very famous Everest Lodge accommodation, idyllically located overlooking the beautiful Hornhead and Atlantic shore line. It's simply jaw dropping beautiful and peaceful. This private weekend walking retreat is for 3 days and 2 nights full board accommodation with stunning expert designed hikes daily, all meals provided and three powerful after dinner accounts with pictures and footage of Jason Black's climbs on the greatest mountains on the planet.

All walks and hikes can be easily adapted in length and intensity from beginner to the outdoors to the most advanced. ACCOMODATION AT EVEREST LODGE

Donegal's very famous Everest Lodge boasts the most impressive views of Horn Head and the wild Atlantic coastline and the beautiful Killahoey beach. The very famous Everest lodge accommodation walls speak a thousand words filled with magical photos and artifacts from expeditions to the greatest mountains in the world. This unique property is kept in highest standard with each spacious bedroom ensuite with power shower. The house boasts two large sitting rooms, a welcome open fire, a modern kitchen and a beautiful outside BBQ dining area. This is a very unique comfortable private weekend with everything adventure on your doorstep.

From its elevated site the holiday home enjoys panoramic views over the local coastline. To the front of the house there are wonderful views over New Lake towards the Atlantic Ocean. To the side of the house there are views towards the dramatic Horn Head Peninsula and Sheephaven Bay.

Everest lodge is located in the heart of Donegal adventure, surrounded by all the Derryveagh mountains, Glenveagh national park and forest and beach walks to take your breath away. It's certainly the outdoor enthusiasts ideal holiday base. There are 4 superb beaches within a short driving distance. The closest is the beautiful Blue Flag Killahoey Beach in Dunfanaghy itself. This large beach is popular for walking, swimming, kite flying and windsurfing and is also used for pony trekking by the local equestrian center.

The smaller Portnablagh beach with its quaint harbour is a popular boating venue. Just a few kilometers further along the coast is the magnificent Marble Hill Strand. And just to the north of Dunfanaghy is Tramore Strand – a totally unspoilt beach that is ideal for beautiful walks.

In addition to the beaches the keen rambler will find numerous other walking terrains in the Dunfanaghy area. In the nearby Ards Forest Park there is good choice of woodland trails. There is also a beautiful walk around Horn Head. This spectacular headland offers some fine cliff scenery and views across the wild waters of Sheephaven Bay to the Rosguill and Fanad Peninsulas.

Muckish Mountain, which provides a dramatic backdrop to Dunfanaghy, is popular among hill walkers. Glenveagh National Park, with its mountains and glens, is a walkers paradise.

If your partner is a keen golfer while your out on the trails, Dunfanaghy Golf and links courses at Rosapenna with the 36 hole Tom Doak designed course is the best in Ireland. This friendly course borders Killahoey beach and enjoys lovely views of Horn Head, Sheephaven Bay and Muckish. Equally avid anglers have a choice of 3 local lakes – Purt, Sessiagh and New Lake (Permits required). Portnablagh pier is a popular sea angling venue.

During the holiday season Dunfanaghy is a vibrant resort with a good choice of cafes, craft shops, art galleries and restaurants including the award winning Mill restaurant. The lively pubs have music sessions on a regular basis. Dunfanaghy can also claim to be the festival capital of north Donegal. Annual events include the St Patrick’s Day Parade, a Seafood Festival, the August Fair, the Dunfanaghy Jazz and Blues Festival and the Halloween Madness festival.
