EDIN Partners visit Donegal

On the 24th & 25th of June 2025, Donegal County Council welcomed the project partners from the EDIN project to County Donegal, Ireland. EDIN which is cofinanced through the Interreg Europe Programme is a pan European project with partners in Ireland (Donegal), Spain (Atlantic Axis of Peninsular Northwest & Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge), Italy (Agency for the development of the Empolese Valdelsa & Regional Government of Tuscany), Norway (Møre and Romsdal County Council), Finland (ELY Centre Kainuu), Lithuania (Lazdijai district municipality administration, Lithuania) and Bulgaria (Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities & Regional Administration Varna).

Saltwater Festival Announces 2025 Music Line-Up: Gerd Janson, KiNK, Elkka, Mungo’s HiFi, Black Traffic, Holly Lester, Tom Ravenscroft, Datsko and More Set to Headline on Ireland’s Atlantic Coast Bundoran, Ireland – 5th & 6th of September Saltwater Festival has today announced its 2025 music line- up, delivering a bold and curated blend of electronic, live, and experimental sounds along Ireland’s northwest coastline.

Waterworld to open to the public this Friday with enhanced visitor experience.

Following over €2m of investment, Bundoran’s number one tourist attraction, Waterworld, will finally reopen its doors this Friday 11th July at 10am.
 

“Meet the Maker” Week launched to Celebrate Inishowen’s Arts & Crafts

As part of the development of the tourist sector in Inishowen, Go Visit Inishowen this year is launching for the first time a “Meet The Maker” week to celebrate and raise awareness of our unique local Arts & Crafts across Inishowen.  The event will run from Monday 14th – Friday 18th July and will include Open Days, a small exhibition at the Tourist Centre as well as ongoing profiling of our Arts & Crafts across the region.

Brian Friel Centenary for Region this August

An unprecedented five-year theatrical celebration building to the centenary of one of Ireland’s great literary figures, Brian Friel (1929-2015), will begin this summer.  FrielDays - A Homecoming will begin with a 35th anniversary production of his most celebrated play, Dancing at Lughnasa, staged just fifty metres from the house in which it is set, and close with a combined 50th anniversary celebration of the work of Ireland’s greatest poet – and Friel’s close friend - Seamus Heaney.
